I Cry

Homeless angels in the street

get leftover food to eat;

Only if someone remembers.

Blood flows from a wound that

claimed a life, Way to soon

All in the name of pride.

Mary Janes’ not thin enough,

she starves herself, Binge and purge;

Just to be accepted.

Through lonely tears He shouts,

trying to find his way out

of a prison of addiction.

Bridge:

I’m on my knees, I can’t sleep at night.

Chorus:

I Cry,

Heart Ache brings on redemption,

There is power in conviction

I Cry

Let Mercy fall like rain

on a world so full of pain

I Cry

Verse 2

Violence stains our brains,

and numbs our hearts to the pain.

Give me back my innocence!

End the Tyranny, war, and rage.

It’s time to read a different page,

of love and understanding.

Bridge:

I’m on my knees, I can’t sleep at night.
